The Nesting Place Therapy Services

My Approach

At The Nesting Place, I believe therapy works best when everyone’s on the same page. I value open, respectful communication with referrers so clients feel supported and understood across their care.

Each person I meet with starts with a thorough assessment. This helps me understand their story, what they’re experiencing, and what matters most to them. From there, I work with them to shape a plan that feels achievable and meaningful.

I’m flexible with how collaboration happens. Whether that’s a quick phone call, shared updates, or a care team meeting. Staying connected ensures the people we support receive consistent care that really fits their needs. So that everyone is on the same page.

Who I Support

I provide evidence-based, trauma-informed therapy for adolescents and adults. Much of my work focuses on trauma, eating disorders, anxiety, body image, and related mental-health concerns.

I also welcome and affirm people of all genders, identities, and backgrounds. I stay in touch with referrers when needed, so care remains coordinated and responsive as things change.

Many clients choose to return to therapy at different points in their lives.  I see it as a privilege to offer a safe, steady place during those times.

Family Inclusive Practice

Parents, partners, or key supports are always welcome to join the therapeutic process, and can be invited into the therapeutic process, with consent from the client.

This helps strengthen the client’s support network and ensures that care remains connected across home, school, and health systems.

Collaboration with families and referrers is guided by openness, respect, and a shared goal of sustained wellbeing

Therapuetic Foundations

My practice draws on evidence-based, trauma-informed approaches including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), DBT(Dialectical Behavioural Therapy), Narrative Therapy, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). I integrate these within a psychodynamic, relational framework that emphasises meaning-making, safety, and gradual change.

I am also trained and highly experienced in FBT (Family Based Treatment) for eating disorders, in addition to CBT-E, and narrative approaches where traditional treatments have not worked.

For Referrers

At The Nesting Place, I value genuine collaboration with referrers. Working together helps create the best outcomes for the people we both support.

My aim is to build a shared understanding of each client’s needs and progress, so their care feels connected and consistent across services.

If you’d like to discuss a referral or check in about a client, you’re always welcome to get in touch — by phone, email, or in person.
