About
At The Nesting Place, every layer of your story is held with care. Whether those layers include struggles with food, trauma, anxiety, or feelings harder to name, you will be met here with warmth, curiosity, and respect.
Like a nest, this is a place to pause, breathe, and rest. While you gather strength to move forward on your own terms.
Hello, I'm Kelvin.
I am a therapist and Accredited Mental Health Social Worker with more than a decade of experience in mental health. Over the years I’ve supported people across child and adolescent teams, drug and alcohol services, forensic settings, and specialist eating-disorder programs.
But in the therapy room, what matters most isn’t a list of places I’ve worked. It’s the relationship we build together.
I work through a relational, psychodynamic lens, which means I pay close attention to the connections that shape your life : your relationships with others, with yourself, and with the problems that you are going through. I see distress as something that makes sense in context. The context of your childhood, your upbringing and your environment. Not as a personal flaw.
My hope is that you feel safe, heard, and understood long before we start thinking about solutions.
In our sessions, I bring a calm and grounded presence. I listen closely, stay curious about your story, and move at a pace that feels right for you.
Together, we’ll take time to untangle what’s been heavy, make sense of your experiences, and create space for insight, healing, and change.

“Therapy helped me find the parts of myself I’d quietly pushed away. Over time, I stopped just surviving and began living in a way that felt more like me. It wasn’t always easy, but I didn’t do it alone.”

What Matters Most?
At The Nesting Place, therapy is guided by a few core values — safety, depth, and compassion. These aren’t just nice ideas. They shape how I show up, how we work together, and how healing unfolds.
Whether you're here to gently unpack your story or simply need space to breathe and reset, this is a place where you’ll be met with warmth, not pressure. We’ll move at your pace, always guided by respect, consent, and care.
Safety
Healing happens in safety. You’ll be met with calm, clarity, and deep respect for your journey. Every step is held with consent, care, and space to simply be. Just as you are.
Depth
Therapy isn’t surface-level work. But it also doesn’t need to be overwhelming. It’s about making room for what sits beneath the surface, at a pace that feels right. I’ll walk beside you as we explore the layers of what’s shaped you, and what’s ready to shift.
Compassion
Compassion is at the heart of our work. It means staying present with you. Especially the parts that feel hardest to hold. It’s about being attuned to you, your experiences, and how you feel.

Whether you prefer Albury or Wodonga, the feeling is similar: a space where you can slow down, breathe and begin to soften into the work.
